I can't stick to a plan

English Nederlands

Many, many thanks for all congratulations. Nice to know some of you voted for my entry, but when you didn't that's no problem to me at all. There were really so many very good entries that I agree with all who said it was a difficult choice. And probably not all of you have voted.

The wardrobe plan: As you can see in the picture on the right in the sidebar, in which I posted a picture with all finished items, there are still three bottoms missing, plus the extra dress or jacket. The tops are not all special, as I initially intended. If there is time left, I might change something.

I'm almost finished with a tan linen pants.
No detailed posts on that, it's just a basic pants and if it's a good pattern, I'll make another one with the black fabric with thin white stripes from the picture on the left. That's a beautiful fabric, you should feel it, it's very soft, but a good quality for pants.
The fabric on top is a gorgeous knit, and I'll think it will make a great Jalie polo shirt, or this BWOF pattern (but I'll take out the shirring at the shoulders). In that case the binding should be black I think.

The other idea that is in my head, is a jacket I had my eye on last year. And when I was looking for a pattern this weekend this was both my daughter and I agreed upon was "the" pattern to use.
It's not boxy (as my daughter stipulated), and the green fabric should be just enough to make it. But as it's already short on the model, there's a lot to be done on the pattern I'm afraid. This jacket can't be part of the wardrobe, but I don't want to wait to make it. So I'll trace the pattern tomorrow evening, change it and do a muslin first. Keep you posted.

  2. That Burda top with the shirring has been on my to-do list for a long time. I can't stick to a plan, which is why I don't do SWAPs.

  3. I've made the BWOF with the shirring at the shoulders - it turns out really well, and the shirring adds a nice touch. I love that green - it will be perfect for spring/summer when made up.

  4. I like the fabric and the shirring top. What issue is it from? Also, the green will be perfect for spring. That green color is popular here in Ann Taylor Loft stores. In fact, it is the green/black/white colorway and I think if your SWAP everytime I see it!

  9. That jacket pattern is so cute. I have had my eye on that (along with about 1,000 other Burda jackets) for a while.
