Happy new year!

I wish all of you a very happy and creative 2017!
I’m a bit late but have made an overview of the items sewn in 2016.
2016 sewing
Not a lot of garments, I’ve had more productive years. A few things never made it to the blog, but that won’t be more than about 5 items. A skirt and pair of pants for my daughter and the odd t-shirt. Taking into account that I moved twice in 2016 it’s not too bad. My closet needs an update on some items though.
Of course there are favorites but there were no real wadders. If I’ve sewn them and thrown them away, I’ve forgotten by now.
I don’t make a list of what I plan to do this year. In general I just want to sew more, either from patterns or self-drafted. There are a few things in my head but everything is subject to change and of course the spur of the moment. Speaking of which: this is a top from Burda’s January issue, bought on Friday, traced the same evening and made (mostly) on January 1. More details in another post.

  3. May not be many but all quite beautiful. Quality over quantity. I want to concentrate this year on self drafted patterns so will enjoy seeing what you make in 2017. Love the latest make, such a lovely colour and nice drape.

  4. Happy New Year! You may not have sewn a lot of garments in your eyes, but they seem to be plenty, and they are of such high quality! I hope you keep blogging so I can someday be as good as you!

  5. I looked carefully at that Burda pattern too (in fact several times) and will probably make it. It looks very stylish, and I love that colour, its just my sort of pattern. I just need to get my hands on some suitable fabric and a block of time, so thanks for showing us your finished version.

  6. Happy Sew Year Sigrid,

To me you made a lot and you inspire me to do more. I will start with every month a garment and yesterday I rearrangend my books the way you did by the month. I will write about it.

    Love your top!
