This weekend I was together with 9 sewing friends in the UK. It was such a WONDERFUL weekend. I can’t say it in the way Pauline has done it, but her post says it all. So I’ll share some photos, mostly nice to see for those who were there probably. If you’ve never done something like this: do it, organize a weekend with sewing friends and fun is guaranteed.
View from the cottage we were in:
Lots of fabric/magazines everywhere and even machines in window sills waiting to be used.
Vivien and Pauline fitting muslin
Marta and Pauline with one of the shirts Pauline made
Samira, not happy with her ugly fabric (she “stole” mine and graciously gave me a part of it afterwards)
Sigrid, sounds like a perfect weekend.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a great time! Hope you got a lot of sewing done!
ReplyDeleteLooks fun! Glad to hear you had a good time.
ReplyDeletewho is that woman standing on the chair??????
ReplyDeleteGreat pic's great time :-)
Sounds like the perfect weekend! Did you all rent a house or did it belong to one of the women?
ReplyDeleteOh, what a wonderful, life-affirming way to spend a holiday with friends! My own beach weekends with college friends had turned into wine-soaked weekends listening to the others complain about their husbands/ex-husbands. I don't go there with them anymore.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of P. on the chair getting her pants muslin fitted is priceless, just saying.
ReplyDeleteIt really was a great weekend, thanks again for everything!
ReplyDeleteSounds fabulous and I am very green with envy!
ReplyDeleteHow fun, fun, fun fun indeed! You all look like you had such a nice time together, and got motivated to create. Sheila, I can't believe how many pices she was cutting out there--ambitious!
