It’s been a while

Not talking about my unfrequent blogging right now. It's been a while since I last showed you some lingerie I made. These were made in December 2011, as a break from other sewing.
The first one is a Merckwaerdigh pattern, BHS10. I made it years ago and have worn it till it almost fell apart, though it took me till last month to make it again.

The pictures show the bra without shoulderstraps, I thought I had everything I needed, but those were missing. In the meantime I have finished this one, only didn’t make new pictures.
 
The V center front is part of the pattern, a nice detail, though it made construction a bit harder. Next time I will make the center front a bit less wide, just a little fit detail.

This brown one is the TNT Sewy Rebecca bra. I made this so many times now, nothing new, except playing with the lace placement a bit.

    you make the most gorgeous lingerie! You get all your lace and fabrics from that site you linked to? I've resolved this year to actually try sewing nice bras but wasn't sure what type of lace to use for good support...

    Oooh die zijn prachtg, die rode is helemaal super, met dat rode kant.
    Ik denk ook, dat je mv iets smaller kan..
    Dat Rebecca patroon ga ik ook bestellen denk ik, dat is een prachtig modelletje...

    Am trying bra sewing again after a long time -- you're an inspiration. Bought a manual from Beverly Johnson: The Bra Maker's Manual. I believe it will help me to replicate the all-cotton all-woven bras from my youth. If not, at least I had the fun of trying.

    Very nice! So dainty looking. I recently took a bra making class with Ann St. Clair. I really enjoyed it and loved the fit of my bra!

    I want to thank you so much for all the information available from your website, it is so inspiring.
    Like many others I have trouble to find nice, decent priced bras in my size (70f or 75e) and I think the rebecca bra is a nice option for me. I am just worry that it might too difficult for a first bra, do you have any advise ?

    I would also like to know if you try to sew a rebecca (or similar) all in lace and in this case how do you provide enough support especially in the lower cups.

    @ Marie: the Rebecca bra differs from other bra's in that it has a 3-piece cup. This doesn't make it more difficult in my opinion. My size is E75 and the Rebecca is really a favorite, though I've adapted the band, it was too wide.

    Don't think I've published it on this blog before, but you can click through the pictures for details. The lower cup is a tule, non stretch. The lace has minimal stretch. You can use a stretch lace, then I would certainly use some tule or other interfacing in the lower and side cup.

    I've read through many of your bra blogs and really appreciate how much information you've given. I'm starting to make my own bras too, and because of your recommendations have ordered the Rebecca and also the BHS10. I'm really looking forward to receiving them in the mail.

    Where do you buy such beautiful fabrics for your bras. I read about a site, but have lost that post.
