Origami blouse - second version
English Nederlands
Based on the comments on my first version I made this blouse again.
This time I used a size 38, took out a little bit of the height from the back shoulder and did a FBA. Further I made it 4 cm longer in the waist. It's not perfect, but better. The length did a lot to improve the overall image, especially in the back. As Marji mentioned it was too wide at the hem, but this was mainly because the width was not in the right place, but I took out a bit of the width all the same.
As my waist is narrow I have to make sure that the width for the hips is at the right place.(remark from my daughter this weekend when I asked her opinion about a couple of patterns for my next jacket: "Mum, why do you always wear boxy jackets? You have a good waist, show it!"). Should take her advice.
Conclusion: I like this blouse because of the origami detail. I'm not completely satisfied with the sleeves, but will stop fussing with them on this blouse. Perhaps I should make a sloper like Vicky did in her recent posts. Would be very helpful.
Sigrid, the blouse has a very good point, and I think the long is the appropriate with respect to the previous blouse. Indeed, the detail front of the "origami" is beautiful and very laborious. Thanks for the photos. Greetings. Paco

Yes, the new one fits you better. It is a lovely blouse with the origami front. Much nicer than a plain white shirt.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to my blog. I really must get back to it. It has been so hot here that I haven't been able to sew. But today it is much better but I am too busy. Oh well, that is life.
