Twisted binding
There are a lot of things I'm doing at the moment (not complying to my own rule not to have more than 3 items to work on): knock-off jacket, January BWOF jacket for myself (both muslins sewn this weekend), wardrobe contest, white blouse for DD, t-shirt for a niece. Pff, I'll write about these things later, I'm trying to take one step at a time.
Tonight I made the twisted neckline for the t-shirt I want to make in the PR-wardrobe contest. Using a Ottobre pattern for the t-shirt and the tip on a twisted neckline written by Liana on PR. I used a 5 cm (2 inch) wide neckline, and moved the fabric each 6 cm.

Ooooh, neat! I've been wanting to try that twisted neckline.
ReplyDeleteOooh thanks for posting about the twisted neckline. I want to sew one, too. I think I might join in the PR SWAP as well.
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing your daughter's comment! I bet she is proud of you.
What a sweet daughter!
ReplyDeleteColdwater Creek has one on their site that is similar...it looks like it has less pleats on the binding....wonder if that would help? theirs is called the Twist V-neck Tee
ReplyDeleteLovely neckline. It gives a classy hint to the simplest tee. I have to add it to my list :o)
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Classy!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL,HOW IS THIS ACCOMPLISHED?
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU DORA
You may be wanting to re-do it, but I think it looks great the way it is. I'd forgotten about that neckline, thanks for posting about it.
ReplyDeleteOh, that looks great! What a cool idea to "pimp" simple T-shirts! Actually... I like it the way it is.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really neat neckline - I like it!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
