JIT

Just in time, I only have to handstitch the hem. No pictures on me yet, but wanted to share. How frustrating to make such a dress in so little time, of course things went wrong (mostly my own error), but it’s ready.

  2. It is gorgeous! Love the color and it is so sharp and crisp.

The other day I wanted to write you a mail to thank you for being such an inspiration. I saw your post about the muslin of this dress and instantly went home to draft a pattern for a very similar dress. It is completed, and it turned out pretty well, but I haven't made any pictures of it yet.

  3. It's beautiful. There's a lot of pressure sewing with a deadline in mind, but now you get to do the easy part... wear it and look your best.

  31. Your dress is beautiful. Love the way those pleats look in the silk fabric. I have a magazine picture of a very similar dress in my inspiration file. Your construction photos were very informative as I assumed the pleats were real pleats, not thinking the same look could be achieved by inserting triangle in seams. My sister was in Paris the same week as you were and she mentioned the cool weather too.
